As Rail Safety Week comes to a close, its time to reflect on a busy week. One of our objectives for this year was to “be visible” and our Executive, Leadership and Safety and Sustainability teams have certainly achieved this. Personally for me, it was all about getting my boots on the ballast / bridges / embankments / car parks and even a substation floor and in doing so, i have enjoyed some great engagement and feedback with our front line teams. I even managed to top the week off with a look around the stabling yard at the Bluebell Railway. Special thanks to Angela Destang, Adrian Gordon, Lee Davey, Mike Hawkins and too many other colleagues in our Southern Rail team to mention for making the week a success.
