Someone giving presentation

Aura Brand Solutions

For Rail Safety Week, Aura Brand Solutions sat down with their Health & Safety Manager, Bernie Daley, and Director of Rail, John Bekalo, to discuss what rail safety means to the business and why it underpins everything they do. When people see a freshly branded train, they see the finished result — but not always the planning, procedures, training and safety management that make it possible. Whether delivering a rebrand, installing interior graphics or working in a depot, every task at Aura Brand Solutions starts and ends with safety. As they explain, it’s easy to think of health and safety as processes, paperwork or compliance, but in reality it’s about people, keeping the team safe and building a culture where doing things the right way is simply the way they work.

BCS Group

For Rail Safety Week, BCS Group are highlighting that with a train travelling at 125mph covering a football pitch in less than two seconds, trackside safety can never be treated as a simple box-ticking exercise. As every site presents entirely unique hazards, standard off-the-shelf solutions rarely fit the bill. BCS Group are proud to collaborate with industry-leading partners Richard Carter Ltd and Betafit PPE to supply everything from insulated safety tools and compliant hi-vis workwear to bespoke signage manufactured in-house, bringing these elements together to ensure trackside teams have the fully unified protection they can rely on every single day.

Contended ESG

Rail Safety Week rightly highlights the importance of keeping people safe, and for Contented ESG, that includes psychological safety. Do people feel able to speak up when something doesn’t feel right? In reality, most incidents don’t happen because processes are missing, they happen when people hesitate, stay silent, or feel unable to act. The ability to raise concerns early, challenge decisions and admit uncertainty is often what makes the difference, and this comes down to leadership and culture as much as systems. It’s something Contented ESG explore in their work, including through a programme recognised by the Institute of Leadership. This Rail Safety Week, they’re posing a simple reflection: what does safety actually feel like in your organisation? If this resonates, Contented ESG are hosting a short introductory session this week to explore these ideas further. Find details and sign up here.

Nexus

Nexus: Relational and Restorative Practice Roadshows
During Rail Safety Week (15–21 June 2026), Nexus will deliver a programme of Relational and Restorative Practice roadshows across the network, running from 06:30 through to 00:00 to reach teams in their working environments.
Our focus is simple: making safety a conversation. We are exploring how psychological safety, listening, and everyday interactions shape whether people feel able to speak up.
At each session, we will ask one key question:
“What’s making the job harder or less safe than it needs to be?”
Colleagues can contribute through conversation, post-it feedback, or QR submissions.
We are also introducing a pocket card for all colleagues, promoting three everyday actions:
Reach – Notice and check in
Respond – Listen without blame
Lead – Make it safe to speak
This approach supports a consistent style of interaction focused on curiosity, openness, and learning.
Our aim is to better understand work as it is really done, and use those insights to make work safer and easier to get right.
