Contended ESG

Rail Safety Week rightly highlights the importance of keeping people safe, and for Contented ESG, that includes psychological safety. Do people feel able to speak up when something doesn’t feel right? In reality, most incidents don’t happen because processes are missing, they happen when people hesitate, stay silent, or feel unable to act. The ability to raise concerns early, challenge decisions and admit uncertainty is often what makes the difference, and this comes down to leadership and culture as much as systems. It’s something Contented ESG explore in their work, including through a programme recognised by the Institute of Leadership. This Rail Safety Week, they’re posing a simple reflection: what does safety actually feel like in your organisation? If this resonates, Contented ESG are hosting a short introductory session this week to explore these ideas further. Find details and sign up here.
