Cambrian Line Community Rail Partnership

Cambrian Line Community Rail Partnership partnered with Network Rail, British Transport Police, Transport for Wales, Keep Wales Tidy, Talyllyn Railway and local schools to deliver a week long schedule of activities to raise awareness of rail safety.

Activities included:

  • Rail safety on the train with students from Caersws and Barmouth who will be transitioning to secondary school in September and will be using the train to attend school
  • Launching their new rail safety video with stendents from Tywyn school
  • Level Crossing safety talk with campsite residents and users at Hendre Mynach, Caerddaniel Park and Sunny Sands
  • Local litter picks around the railway in Penrhyndeudraeth, Porthmadog and Tywyn

Cambrian Line Community Rail Partnership is also working in collaboration with Rail Safe Friendly.
Hundreds of children along the Cambrian Line have already been taught the dangers of trespassing on the railways, raising awareness and preventing injuries.
