As an important event within the rail industry, this week is a way to highlight the importance of safety on the railway, as the industry works to create improvements in knowledge, technology and more to better protect passengers, staff, and the general public.

Over the next few days, our influential rail experts will be attending key events around the country as they network with other key stakeholders.

On Monday, Steve Cere was in attendance at Rail Safe Friendly (RSF)’s Rail Safety Week Event at Crewe Station, who are on a mission to improve rail safety awareness within schools. During this event they were able to discuss on this shared commitment to rail safety education with their RSF Partners like Carlisle Support Services and many more.

Over at Manchester Piccadilly, Paul Brewer also hosted an event with staff from our Northern Rail contracts such as Northern and Metrolink, to provide our staff with valuable information and initiatives that will be taking place throughout the week.

With safety paramount in all our operations, Rail Safety Week provides a special focus on this crucial aspect. Throughout this week, this team will be actively discussing and raising awareness on various safety topics including Safeguarding, ACT and SCAN, HOT and WHAT, importance of personal safety and strategies for avoiding conflict situations.
