Gloucestershire Community Rail Partnership

Our Access to Nature project provides young people with real life travel training across multiple forms of public transport. From understanding how to safely navigate a train station, to booking demand responsive transport like The Robin, we are providing young people with the tools and knowledge to travel confidently and safely throughout Gloucestershire. By working with our partners at Cotswolds National Landscape, we aim to inspire young people to independently access the incredible Cotswolds using public transport. By combining comprehensive travel training with exciting nature based activities, we hope to create a generation of travellers confident to access natural spaces using sustainable forms of transport.

As part of Rail Safety Week, we’re also excited to share a brand-new resource!

We’ve been listening to what young people across Gloucestershire have told us about their experiences and concerns when using public transport. In response, we’ve developed a practical, easy-to-use travel safety leaflet packed with top tips and confidence-boosting advice to help make every journey feel safer and more empowering.
From planning your route to knowing what to do if something doesn’t feel right, this guide is all about building travel confidence for public transport journeys.
