At Morgan Sindall, safety is so important to the business, so Rail Safety Week was a great opportunity to highlight some of the great processes we have in place to keep everyone safe.

At our East Ham site, the team took part in a safety scenario where an operative slips down some stairs and injures their leg. A first aider attended the incident, and the injured person was put on to a stretcher and carried over the stairs and back to site.

Over at our Beckton site, they held a Safety Stand Up breakfast with a focus on Working at Height. A Senior SHE Advisor, came to site to share best practice.

In Portishead, they had numerous engagement sessions, including “Safety in the Community” where Morgan Sindall employees meet members of the local community, to talk about the dangers of entering a working site and crossing trainlines.

We also had a very unique idea combining Rail Safety Week and the World Cup! It was a free sweepstake, on the condition that you do a wellbeing challenge associated with your picked team!
