Network Rail Northwest Route.

The Community Safety Team at Network Rail will be hosting a number of education events throughout the Northwest route  during Rail Safety Week: 

• Community safety school visits to discuss the issues of trespass and safety at stations and level crossings.
• Evening scouts visit to talk to both the cubs and scouts on the importance of staying safe around the railway.
• Rail safety awareness event at Preston station.
• Hatters in the Community – Multi agency safety event. The programme will bring together young people from across Stockport for a series of workshops.
• Visit to cubs group in Macclesfield to discuss railway safety at stations and level crossings and distribute railway safety activity books.
• Network Rail will have a stall at a school careers fair to talk to the children about railway careers, specifically highlighting the importance of safety related roles.
