Railway Children

On Rail Safety Week, we want to acknowledge our brilliant UK programme team, rail partners, Safeguarding Champions and the British Transport Police who are helping to make the railways safer for vulnerable children and young people every day.

At Railway Children, we talk a lot about strengthening the safety net across the rail network – but we really couldn’t do this without everyone playing their part to look out for vulnerability. Whether it’s a child who has run away from home, a young person who is being exploited, or someone who just needs a friendly face, intervening at the right time can have a potentially life-changing impact.

We’ve made great progress supporting the Safeguarding on Rail Scheme, and we remain as committed as ever to making sure the safety of children and young people is a priority.
