We initiated the week by raising awareness with the Samaritans at Benfleet with plenty of engagement from our customers.

In collaboration with our Network Rail colleagues, we engaged 250 children aged 7-10 in an informative talk, emphasising railway safety at Bournes Green Junior School, thanks to Alicia Higgins for being so accommodating.

Our Director of Health and Safety, Stuart Browning, led an insightful tour focused on safety engagement in our Essex stations.

Finally, we highlighted the BTP and their Railway Guardian app, at Fenchurch station. The app enables users to report incidents, share journeys with trusted contacts, and access valuable resources.

Rail Safety Week may be coming to a close but it’s vital that all of us on the railway work together, continuing to keep our colleagues, our customers and ourselves safe!
