GB Railfreight are proud to support Rail Safety Week 2025.

We’ve launched our new Safety Plan – Spearheaded by our Safety and Sustainability Director, David Golding, this plan outlines both our long-term vision and our 2025 safety objectives—many of which are already well underway.

Throughout the week, our Safety Team has been leading sessions with staff across the country to showcase new safety initiatives in action. These have included:

• Demonstrations of new sanding machines
• Hands-on training in spillage response

We’ve also delivered sessions tailored to operational staff on key topics such as:

• The importance of good sleep preparation
• Hydration
• Help staff recognise signs of fatigue.
