Hull Trains

Hull Trains held a ‘Meet the Safety Team’ session over lunch in which they introduced the new open access alliance structure for Safety, Security & Sustainability, including Ops Safety.

Teams also received a Rail Safety Week specific newsletter and during the week, colleagues from their leadership team visited various sites around the business to have safety tours and conversations.

They also had an external auditor who engaged with their colleagues around their safety management systems.

Further activities included a talk on fatigue and some shared learning with Lumo in which they talked about hazards in the workplace and understanding why becoming complacent can lead to harm.

To kick off Rail Safety Week, Hull Trains is proudly supporting Rail Safe Friendly – an industry-wide campaign improving rail safety awareness in all schools across the UK.
