Siemens had a great calendar of online learning events across the week using both internal and external speakers on a range of Safety, Health and Wellbeing, and Environmental topics.

Robin Gibson, Head of Environment, Health and Safety for Rail Infrastructure at Siemens Mobility, said: “Rail Safety Week is a valuable reminder for people across our industry that safety must be front and centre. That’s why we’re sharing the events available to our employees, and putting on extra ones too which focus on broader themes of wellbeing, environment and sustainability. This all contributes to building a safer future.”

All their offices, factories, depots and sites were given a list of “Why don’t you” for each day and were asked to pick at least one thing to do. They also provided a briefing to carry out with their frontline workforce on each day.

On the Monday of #RSW23, their Managing Director, Rob Morris recorded a video to give his personal view on how important the week is and to encourage participation from all. Their Head of EHS – Rail Infrastructure, Robin Gibson also recorded a video on the Friday to conclude the week and capture some of the amazing events that happened across their portfolio.

Their Yammer platform was buzzing with activity and updates throughout the week, capturing the good work going on.
