Supertram

We’re proud to celebrate the end of the first year of our partnership with Rail Safe Friendly and Learn Live UK. Supertram was the first light rail network in the UK to join this pioneering safety initiative, and over the past year, we’ve worked with 10 Sheffield schools, delivering engaging safety messages and resources to help young people stay safe around trams and tram tracks. Our educational videos, including one featuring our very own conductor, have reached an incredible 6,421 students in just 12 months.

Thanks to this collaboration, we’ve generated over £181,000 in social value and taken a significant step towards building a safer, more informed community.

We’re also proud to have supported the Light Rail Safety & Standards Board’s National Safety Campaign “TWO LINES = STOP” by displaying safety signs across the network, near schools and universities, to further promote tram safety.

As we celebrate Rail Safety Week, we remain committed to championing tram safety across South Yorkshire and nationally.

Wayne Clay, Head of SHEQ at Supertram said “We look forward to our continued partnership with Learn Live and LRSSB, and hope it paves the way for a more informed, safety-conscious generation.”
